- Electric power steering for the Hellcat
- Exclusive 717-horsepower for the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition
- Upgraded and improved suspension on the Scat Pack
While a V-8 may sound more appealing than a V-6, the 3.6-liter V-6 that comes standard in the base model is more than sufficient. With 292-horsepower in the base model and 300-horsepower in the GT and SXT AWD, the engine has plenty of power for daily driving and a great 30 MPG highway estimate from the EPA. Of the various models, only the V-6 SXT is available in all-wheel drive.
The V-8 models do have more horsepower, with 370-horsepower forho the R/T and 707-horsepower for the Charger SRT Hellcat.
All of the engines have 8-speed automatic transmissions that feature a manual shifting mode and adaptive technologies. Dodge vehicles come with tires designed to handle differing engine output. The suspension offers outstanding handling that common commuter sedans can’t compete with.
Notable Optional Equipment
The higher the trim level, the stronger the engine and the more luxurious the features of the 2020 Dodge Charger, according to Kelley Blue Book. The price varies dramatically from the base price of under $30,000 to a top-trim level price of over $70,000. Horsepower starts under 300 for the base model and more than doubles in the highest trim.
A few of the most sought-after options upgrades and packages include:
