2022 Nissan Armada Nismo First Look
Exterior modifications of the newest 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo are mostly visible on the front. Basically, this version looks much more sporty thanks to the new front fascia with a honeycomb three-dimensional mesh grille, restyled LED headlights, and horizontal chrome strips with the Nismo logo. Compared to the regular model, Nismo also has some tweaks that will separate it. The new LED fog lights are present, and they are inspired by the Nissan F1 car.
The familiar Nismo red line wraps around the SUV comes standard as the attractive 22-inch, two-tone aluminum wheels.Besides, the Nismo also includes a rear bumper that boasts dark chrome inserts and slightly tweaked LED taillights. Four exterior colors are available, and buyers can choose between White Pearl, Black Solid, and Grey, and Silver metallic paint.
2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek: Heres What We Know So Far
The sportier 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek has been introduced, and it looks really ready for adventure. Unlike the original version, the Rock Creek features…
2022 Nissan Armada NISMO Engine
If it arrives, the 2022 Nissan Armada NISMO would come with some slight engine upgrades. It would continue with the same 5.6-liter V8 engine, with 28 horses more compared to the standard model. On the other hand, the max torque would remain the same. In numbers, this would mean 428 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Of course, the engine would come in pair with the same 7-speed automatic transmission, while 4WD would be standard.
We don’t believe that this slight power increase would affect fuel economy, so the numbers would probably remain the same. For reference, the current model returns around 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
We have no doubts that the 2022 Nissan Armada NISMO would come packed with loads of standard equipment. This refers to both tech and safety features. When it comes to tech goodies, we presume it would come standard with dual-zone climate control, push-button start, a 12.3-inch touch screen, navigation, a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, wireless device charging, Bluetooth, USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, 13-speaker Bose audio system etc.
When it comes to safety, the list of standard features would include forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness monitoring, adaptive cruise control, vehicle exit warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
What comes with the Patrol Nismo?
The 2021 Nissan Patrol Nismo will be revealed on March 31, so we will learn more in a few days. Until then, previous models will serve as clues for what to expect. The last Patrol Nismo was launched in 2015 with mechanical and visual upgrades.
With the Nismo, you got an engine upgrade. The 5.6-liter V8 engine was tuned to gain an additional 28 hp for a grand total of 428 hp. The torque was unchanged at 413 lb-ft but registered a higher rev range.
The body structure was also given reinforcements to improve strength and rigidity. A body kit also enhanced downforce. Suspension upgrades included upgraded Bilstein shocks. More upgrades included forged 22-inch wheels and tweaks made to the power steering system.
We have the Nissan Armada here instead of the Nissan Patrol. The Armada includes a few safety and emission upgrades to meet the quality standards set by North America. So, the Armada and Patrol are almost twins, making it seem possible for the Nissan Armada Nismo to become a thing.
